Yahoo maakte vandaag bekend na Flickr ook Konfabulator gekocht te hebben. Direct is Konfabulator gratis geworden.
Wat is Konfabulator? Simpel gezegd is het het antwoord op Mac Tiger’s Dashboard Widgets. Het zijn kleine applicaties (in Javascript) die je op je desktop kan plaatsen. Browsers zijn uit, desktops appjes zijn helemaal in! Je hebt nu al keuze uit honderden Konfabulator widgets, de een nog mooier dan de ander.
Belangrijkste issue zal compatibiliteit zijn. Konfabulator is er niet alleen voor de PC, maar ook voor de Mac, en positioneert zich hiermee naast Mac’s eigen Dashboard. Dat klinkt als inefficiënt, dus ik hoop dat Yahoo en Apple snel bij elkaar gaan zitten om tot één standaard te komen.
In de tussentijd moet je Konfabulator vooral downloaden en ermee spelen!

That is a great question and I called the site manager to ask. They worked with an e-recycling company (I won’t mention their name, but they’re reputable) to pack up the items as they came in and send them off for proper processing and ultimate recycling. Good for Verizon for initiating this green event in an area that needed an e-recycling option!
